A fan attached to the pipe creates a vacuum, sucking the radon up and out, away from the house.
A house built on a solid slab foundation requires holes to be drilled through the foundation. Next, pipes are fitted into these holes. Finally, the pipes are connected to a fan system, which sucks the radon gas away from the house.
Before you invest in radon mitigation in Chicago, have your home tested. For the most part, radon is not a significant problem in Chicagoland. But in some parts of Cook County, radon poses a significant problem.
