Bridging Art and Architecture
The Architecture Master’s programs at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) are designed to challenge and prepare students to grow within the field of architecture. The programs provide students with knowledge in architectural design history, theory, and technique.
Students develop necessary skills and experience for professional practice, as well as critical thinking abilities required to generate innovative ideas, drive invention, and advance in the field.
Those enrolled in SAIC’s MArch programs experience a more hybrid education than just lessons on conventional aspects of architectural practice.
Fostering Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Students benefit from interdisciplinary collaboration at SAIC. They learn to work with peers from completely different creative backgrounds. They also benefit from studying under nationally and internationally renowned architects and designers who are engaged in the exploration of their fields.
Empowering Creative Leadership
The Architecture Master’s programs teach visionary development, critical thinking, environmental sense, and social responsibility. The programs are designed to produce technically competent architects who understand, at a truly comprehensive level, the impact of architecture on people and the environment.
