Lab equipment is more than just beakers and test tubes. Sometimes it’s equipment intended for very special uses. That is exactly what an ultrasonic frequency amplifier is for. It is a very unique piece of lab equipment that can detect and/or amplify ultrasonic frequencies. Most of these frequencies are greater than 20kHZ. Sounds above this range cannot be heard by human ears, but exist all around humans every day. Detecting Dangerous Frequency Levels in Specific Environments

Sometimes it’s a question of whether or not a certain environment can be harmful to humans even though humans cannot actually sense that something is wrong. This kind of amplifier can detect frequencies of a dangerous level in a potential working environment before people begin working in that environment. Then the employer can decide to either avoid working in that space entirely, or provide employees with specialized PPE to keep the employees safe while they work. The amplifier displays the frequencies and shows when and how often the frequencies would be an issue.

Detecting Frequencies in Research

It shouldn’t surprise you that many living things on the planet operate on different wavelengths from humans. Some plants, for example, send out frequencies above 20kHZ, which humans cannot detect.
